Road Reopens In Norwalk Following Crash: UPDATE

Norwalk police said the road is "now open to all traffic."

NORWALK, CT — A portion of a road that was closed in Norwalk due to a crash has reopened, police announced Thursday afternoon.

Police said around 12:30 p.m. on Facebook that New Canaan Avenue is now open to all traffic.

"The [Metropolitan Transportation Authority] has completed work on the train track crossing, and the road closure has been lifted," police said on Facebook. "Thanks for your patience during the temporary closure."

Police previously said Wednesday evening in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that New Canaan Avenue was closed to all traffic from Cornwall Road to Lloyd Road "due to a crash with a broken utility pole."
