A portion of Monroe Street in Norwalk is closed Tuesday morning due to a gas leak, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — A portion of Monroe Street is closed Tuesday morning due to a gas leak, according to police.
Police said on Facebook around 11 a.m. the road is closed from South Main Street to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
In an update around 11:40 a.m., police said crews are on site and Monroe Street will be "closed for an extended period of time."
