Road Closures Announced For 2024 Norwalk Oyster Festival: PD
Police warn drivers to expect delays in lower East Norwalk, as well as South Norwalk, due to festival traffic this weekend.
NORWALK, CT — The annual Norwalk Oyster Festival kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday, during which drivers should expect delays throughout the city, according to police.
In a Facebook post, police warned drivers to expect delays in lower East Norwalk, as well as South Norwalk, due to festival traffic.
Seaview Avenue will be closed from Fort Point Street to East Avenue during festival hours.

East Avenue will be one-way for northbound traffic only between Seaview Avenue and Van Zant Street beginning Friday at 4 p.m. until Sunday at 9 p.m., according to police.
Held by the Norwalk Seaport Association, the 46th annual Oyster Festival will be held Sept. 6-8 at the 35-acre Veteran's Memorial Park in Norwalk.

Festival hours are Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
