Road Closures Announced For Norwalk Memorial Day Parade 2025

NORWALK, CT — The city's annual Memorial Day parade is scheduled to take place Monday, and a number of roads will be closed that day, according to police.
The department announced Friday a temporary road closure of the Memorial Day parade route Monday, May 26, from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m.
The Exit 16 ramps of Interstate 95 will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., police said.

The parade starts at Veterans Park in East Norwalk and proceeds east on Van Zant Street, then north on East Avenue prior to concluding at the Norwalk Green.
Van Zant Street, East Avenue (south of Route 1) and the northbound and southbound ramps of I-95 Exit 16 will be closed to all traffic, police said.

This closure will allow the parade to proceed safely to the Norwalk Green, according to police.

Variable message signs located along I-95 and at the Exit 16 ramps will serve to notify motorists of the Exit 16 closure, police said.
