Police said the following roads are closed due to downed power lines after a truck struck a utility pole in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — A couple of roads in Norwalk are closed Wednesday afternoon due to downed power lines after a truck struck a utility pole in the area, according to police.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, police said around 1 p.m. a truck struck a utility pole on Stuart Avenue, which pulled down power lines from two other poles in the area.

Stuart Avenue is closed from Phillips Street to Connecticut Avenue, according to police.

Frost Street is also closed at Hyatt Avenue, police said.

Drivers are asked to use Clinton Avenue or Woodbury Avenue as alternates, according to police.
