A 16-year-old juvenile accused of shooting another teen over the weekend in Norwalk was recently arrested, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — A 16-year-old juvenile accused of shooting another teen over the weekend in Norwalk was recently arrested, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts said the department received multiple reports of shots fired in the Roodner Court Public Housing Complex, located on Ely Avenue, just before 7 p.m. on Saturday.
When officers arrived in the area, they found evidence that shots had been fired. After further investigation, officers obtained information that a 15-year-old juvenile suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound had been dropped off at Norwalk Hospital, Evarts said.

According to Evarts, police gathered enough evidence to charge a 16-year-old juvenile with the shooting.
The teen was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal discharge of a firearm.

The teen was remanded to juvenile detention, according to Evarts. He also noted the case "remains active and ongoing."
