TV Personality, Cookbook Author To Visit Stew Leonard's In Norwalk
Stew Leonard's will welcome TV personality Pete Napolitano from WNBC's "Weekend Today in New York" to their Norwalk store this weekend.

NORWALK, CT — Stew Leonard's will welcome cookbook author and television personality Pete Napolitano from WNBC's "Weekend Today in New York" to their Norwalk store this weekend.
A renowned fruit and vegetable expert and longtime friend of the store, "Produce Pete" will visit the store at 100 Westport Avenue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to a news release provided by the store.
Napolitano, his wife Bette and co-author Susan Bloom will sign copies of Napolitano's newest cookbook, "In the Kitchen with Bette & Produce Pete," a heartfelt collection of favorite recipes and fond memories from the Napolitano family.

Napolitano will also sign copies of his new memoir, "They Call Me Produce Pete," alongside Bloom, in which he shares "candid memories of growing up poor in post-WWII America, striving to achieve the American Dream, and landing unexpected fame as one of the nation's leading experts on produce," according to Stew Leonard's.
Both "In the Kitchen with Bette & Produce Pete" and "They Call Me Produce Pete" will be available for sale at the store, as well as Produce Pete-branded aprons, oven mitts and other items.

With over 70 years of experience in the produce industry, Napolitano has appeared on a highly popular segment on NBC's "Weekend Today in New York" broadcast every Saturday morning for 30 years.
"They Call Me Produce Pete" is the long-awaited follow-up to his first book, "Produce Pete's Farmacopeia," according to Stew Leonard's.
Bloom is an award-winning writer whose work has appeared in such New Jersey-based publications as The Star-Ledger, The Asbury Park Press, New Jersey Monthly Magazine and Jersey's Best Magazine, as well as such national mediums as The New York Times, USA Today, The New York Daily News and Natural Awakenings.
She's collaborated with Produce Pete on a broad range of articles and monthly columns for over a decade, according to the store.
