• Teens Charged In Killing Of 18-Year-Old Norwich Woman In New Haven: Police (patch.com) — Norwich residents are mourning 18-year-old Alexa Acevedo, who was killed by stray gunfire while walking in downtown New Haven after Halloween celebrations. Police say a dispute among several young men escalated into an exchange of shots that also critically injured Acevedo’s friend, leading detectives to secure multiple arrest warrants, including murder and firearms charges, as her grieving family calls for an end to gun violence.
