Several Norwich Police Officers Promoted

NORWICH, CT — The Norwich Police Department announced the promotion of several police officers.

According to their Facebook page, they wrote:

Congratulations to our newly promoted Norwich PD veterans:

-Captain John Perry
-Lieutenant Kyle Besse
-Lieutenant Steve Schmidt
-Sergeant Kenneth Wright
-Sergeant Matthew Seidel

The bio on each officer and their accomplishments throughout their career is included in the photos. Collectively, they have achieved many wonderful things while protecting this great City that many of us call home.

Thank you to NPD Chaplain Adam Bowles for your invocation, and to City Clerk Roseanne Muscarella for administering the Oath.

A special thank you to all who attended today's ceremony, especially friends and family of these well deserving gentlemen. It was reiterated throughout this particular ceremony that the friends and families of our officers are the unsung hero's in their stories, and that couldn't be any truer! Without your unwavering support, our department would not operate in the capacity it is necessary that we do; For all of the sleepless nights, the dinners interrupted, absences and very, very long days, our department thanks you for your patience! We hope you all laughed as hard as we did when Sergeant Seidel's little one stole the show during his speech, or when Lieutenant Schmidt's badge fell off not one, not two...but three times, as it was pinned on him.
