Cops: Alleged Shoplifter Refused to Be Fingerprinted, Photographed

A Bridgeport man added another charge to his arrest report on April 13 when he initially refused to be fingerprinted or photographed by Orange police after being taken into custody for an alleged act of larceny, police said.

James Berry, 57, is charged with sixth-degree larceny for allegedly walking out of the Stop & Shop on Bull Hill Lane with $60.37 worth of groceries he did not pay for, police said.

Berry was also charged with refusal to be fingerprinted/photographed for initially refusing to do both before he "relented" the day after the arrest, police said.

The Bridgeport man was then released on a promise to appear for a court appearance on April 29.
