Fire Breaks Out At Orange Home's Garage

Firefighters responded to a call reporting heavy smoke Tuesday night.

ORANGE, CT – A fire broke out in a home's garage in Orange on Tuesday evening, according to fire officials.

The Orange Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at just after 5:30 p.m. for a house on New England Lane filled with smoke.

Firefighters began looking for the source of the smoke, suspecting a wood-burning stove. They soon discovered the fire was in an attached garage.

The fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters used fans to remove the smoke from the home.

No injuries were reported at the fire.

Members of the Orange Police Department, American Medical Response, and the town fire marshal’s office also responded to the alarm.

The fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
