Geraldine “Gerry” Alice MacAulay, 86, of Orange, passed away in Milford on September 26, 2025.
She will be remembered for her hard work, love of adventure, and the warmth she shared with those around her.

Geraldine “Gerry” Alice MacAulay, 86, of Orange, beloved wife of the late Craig MacAulay, passed away in Milford on September 26, 2025. Born in Bridgeport CT on October 18th, 1938. She was the daughter of the late William Peter Jacobsen and Yvonne Rita Godbout.
Gerry was a proud graduate of Milford High School and dedicated her career to Casanova Candies, Newhart Products, and Canevari Plastics. She cherished time outdoors, especially camping with her husband Craig, in their motorhome. After retirement, they enjoyed years together in Florida before she returned to Milford to be close to family and friends following Craig’s passing. Gerry also found joy in spending time with her newfound friends in Connecticut, where she loved playing cards and bingo, going out to eat, and treating herself to the occasional ice cream sundae at Scoopy Doo’s. She treasured the special times she also shared with her cousin Emma before Emma relocated to North Carolina. Above all, Gerry cherished her four grandchildren and her 15 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She will be remembered for her hard work, love of adventure, and the warmth she shared with those around her.
Gerry is survived by her daughters, Janice (George) Canevari and Marge Schmidt; her grandsons, Daniel (Petrina) Canevari, Eric (Rindy) Schmidt, and Matthew Schmidt; her granddaughter, Nicole (Kevin) DeAngelo; and her great-grandchildren, Julia, Delaney, Amelia, Elias, Makenzie, Hunter, Paislee, Corbin, Emree, Christina, Alexa, Lucianna, Giovanna, Serafina, and LunaBella.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Orange Congregational Church, 205 Meetinghouse Lane, Orange (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
