High School Grad Gets $5K Scholarship From Goddard School of Orange
The $5,000 scholarship is granted to a Goddard School of Orange graduate who demonstrates a hard work ethic and perseverance.

ORANGE, CT – A local High School senior was presented with the 2023 Bob Marchetti and Gerard Kick Scholarship for $5,000.
In its 2nd year, the $5,000 scholarship is granted to a Goddard School of Orange graduate who demonstrates a hard work ethic and perseverance.
This year, the scholarship went to Troy Ramos, a Goddard School of Orange graduate and Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge. Ramos is pursuing a computer science degree at the University of Connecticut in the Fall.

“The life lessons I learned at The Goddard School helped prepare me throughout my entire academic year,” Ramos said. “I am thrilled and so thankful to receive this scholarship as I continue my educational journey.”
Kim Kick, Bob Marchetti’s daughter, the original owner of The Goddard School of Orange and whom the scholarship honors, said Ramos’ positivity and dedication to being an outstanding student stood out.

“We are honored to name him this year’s recipient of the Bob Marchetti and Gerard Kick Memorial Scholarship,” Kick said. “Both of our fathers exemplified their commitment to their careers, their families, and their communities, and we are so thrilled to give back to students in their name.”
