A local business damaged in a recent fire has been approved to open in a temporary spot.

ORANGE, CT — After a fire damaged a nail salon last weekend, the business has opened a temporary location, according to the Town of Orange Fire Marshal's Office.

The fire broke out at Black Swan Nail & Spa at 519 Boston Post Road on Saturday.

On Friday, the Fire Marshal’s Office, Building Department, and Health Department had all approved Black Swan’s temporary location to open.

"We wish Fei (owner) and his staff the best, and look forward to working with him to get his original location back open!"

Firefighters had responded to the cosmetology business to investigate an odor Saturday. "Within seconds, firefighters noticed the front windows of the adjacent salon were soot-covered. The front door was forced and a significant fire was found in the salon," fire officials said.

The fire appears to be accidental in nature, officials said. No one was injured.

The immediately adjacent businesses were expected to be closed temporarily to allow for clean up before reopening.
