ORANGE, CT — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be celebrated on Jan. 18th, marking the 35th year of observance of the federal holiday honoring the slain civil rights leader. While some in the region might have to work, most schools and government offices will take a break.

Here's what you can expect to find open and closed in Orange on Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

  • Transfer Station: Open
  • Public Schools: No School
  • City Hall: Offices Closed
  • Case Memorial Library: Closed
  • Banks: Most are closed
  • U.S. Postal Service: Post offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery
