Mrs. Patricia ‘Pat’ (Kennedy) Quigley, 94 of Orange Passes Away

Mrs. Patricia ‘Pat’ (Kennedy) Quigley, age 94 of Orange, beloved wife, mother and friend passed away on May 30, 2025 with family by her side.

Pat was born on December 5, 1930, in New Haven, the daughter of the late Edward T and Kathryn (Richardson) Kennedy. Pat graduated from Hillhouse High School Class of 1948 and attended New Haven State Teachers College (now Southern Connecticut State University).

Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years Jeremiah ‘Jerry’ Quigley. She is survived by her son Thomas Quigley of Orange and her two daughters Kathryn Quigley (husband Vincent Smith) of Clearwater Beach, FL and New York City and Sarah of Newton, MA. She was predeceased by brothers Edward T Kennedy III of Hamden, and William, who died in infancy.

Pat was the first Special Services Transportation Coordinator for the Community Services Department in the Town of Orange. She thoroughly enjoyed serving the town’s senior and disabled residents in this role and contributing to the growth of the program for 22 years, until her retirement in 2003.

For those who knew her best, Pat will be forever remembered as an avid reader, cat lover, and devoted fan of UConn Women’s Basketball. For many years Pat and Jerry enjoyed annual trips to Cape Cod and Saratoga Springs, NY, and many visits to Gulf Beach in Milford, and art galleries, museums and libraries around Connecticut. Pat was a parishioner at Holy Infant Church in Orange for more than 60 years.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Road, Orange; on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:00am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed by the Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, Orange, CT, 06477. Checks may be made payable to “Case Memorial Library” with the Note line annotated, “In Memory of Patricia Quigley.”
