Obituary: Inna Golub, 88, of Orange
Inna was a retired Research Scientist at Yale University. She enjoyed yoga, singing, hiking, gardening and spending time with loved ones.
ORANGE, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Inna Golub, age 88, of Orange, the beloved wife of Walter Wolog, passed away on Saturday February 12, 2022 in Norwalk Hospital. Born in Belarus to the late Ivan and Olga (Korzun) Kurilov.
She has been a long-time area resident.
Inna was a retired Research Scientist at Yale University and held a Master's degree in Mathematics and a PhD in biology.
For over a quarter century she sang with the New Haven Community Chorus, was a Charter Member of Silk'n Sounds (a barbershop-style a cappella chorus), she danced her retirement years away with Square and Round dance groups: the Square Bears and Temple Sweethearts and laughed with Laughter Yoga group in Orange.
Additionally, she practiced yoga for more than 50 years and enjoyed hiking, nature, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Survivors in addition to her beloved husband Walter, include her loving daughters, Helen Rose and her husband Efraim Sagiv of Orange and Olga Golub and her husband Ilya Gorelik of Weston, MA, her cherished grandchildren, Julia Begun, Matthew Gorelik and his wife Amanda Hobson and Isaac Gorelik, a sister Raisa Pavlova of New Haven, her stepdaughter Maria Peavy and her husband Dexter of Woodbridge, step-grandchildren L.P, Natasha, George and Katherine Peavy.
Funeral service will take place on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM in the Adzima Funeral Home with the Rev. Dimitri Jakimowicz officiating.
Internment will be in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 -10:30 AM.
Masks are required as visitors walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
