Obituary: Lindsay Vogel Blackwell, 38, of Orange

Lindsay was known for her creativity, quick wit, heartfelt humor and generous nature. She cherished her loved ones and her Sheltie, Hope.

ORANGE, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Lindsay Vogel Blackwell, 38, of Orange, CT, beloved daughter of Stephanie Blackwell and Richard Blackwell passed away in eternal peace on February 24, 2022.

Born on June 11, 1983, Lindsay is survived by her three siblings, Matthew Blackwell, Laura Marks, and Gregory Blackwell.

Lindsay is also survived by six nieces and nephews, ranging from four months old to 11 years.
Lindsay graduated from SUNY at Albany in 2006 and held several positions over the years in sales.

Her passions included making candles, cosmetics and most of all loving animals.

Her laughter was heartfelt and robust, only to be surpassed by her quick mind and spontaneous wit.

She had a generous nature and was willing to help those in need.

The love of Lindsay’s life, her Sheltie, Hope, was at her side as she fell asleep into deep slumber to enter through God’s gates.

God called her name and she followed.

Lindsay suffered many challenges over the years, dealing with mental illness and often prayed to God for others to be helped. Now, her battle is over and she is at rest.

All services for Lindsay will be private. Per the family's wishes, for those who wish to remember her in a special way, in lieu of flowers, may donate to Mental Health America.
