Oil On Roadway Closes Lane, Delays Expected: Orange Police Department

ORANGE, CT — Drivers are being asked to avoid the area of Derby Avenue (Route 34) Westbound from Orange Center Road into Derby due to oil on the roadway, according to an announcement from the Orange Police Department.

Police said the oil is from "an unknown source." One of the two lanes is closed until a sand truck can treat the roadway.

Traffic is heavy in the area, police said. Drivers can expect delays.
