UPDATE: Republican Incumbent James Zeoli is declared the winner after Democratic Challenger Mark Moyher concedes via a Facebook post.


First Selectman Zeoli held off his Democratic opponent during Tuesday's municipal elections.

Via Facebook, Zeoli said he was "honored and humbled to be your first selectmen for another two years."

Challenger Moyher, via a Facebook post, thanked everyone who supported him during Tuesday's elections. "Unfortunately, this wasn't our year," he said.

ORANGE, CT — The pools have closed in Orange, and the votes are being counted to determine numerous vital races, including First Selectman, Board of Selectmen, Town Clerk and Tax Collector.

First Selectman

The Democratic candidate is Mark Moyher, and the Republican candidate is James Zeoli.

Board of Selectmen

The Democratic candidates are: Melissa Johnston, PJ Shanley and Mitchell R. Goldblatt.

The Republican candidates are John J. Carangelo, Ralph G. Okenquist and Judy Wright Williams.

Town Clerk

The lone candidate is Mary Shaw, a Republican.

Tax Collector

The lone candidate is Thomas P. Hurley, a Republican.

Board of Finance

Voters voted for up to three candidates. The Democratic candidates are Jen Alfaro and Anna Mahon, while the Republican candidates are James A. Leahy and Kevin Houlihan.

Board of Education

V0ters voted for up to three candidates.

The Democratic candidates are Suan Riccio, Betty Hadlock and Ralph Marguy.

The Republican candidates are William J. Kraut, Anthony Scarinzi and Ken Ziman.

Town Plan and Zoning — 4-Year Term Begins 2023

The Democratic candidates are Scott Rogalski and Ken Lenz, and the Republican candidates include Tom Torrenti and Judy Smith.

The lone candidate is Paul Kaplan, a Democrat.

Amity Board of Education

The Democratic candidates are Josh ORLINSKY, Paul Davis, Ken Briodagh, and Jennifer Jacquet.

The Republican candidates include Cathy Bradley, Michael McDonough, and Dana Lombardi.

Constables

The Democratic candidates are Jody Dietch, Santo J. Galatioto Jr., and Randy Thomas.

The Republican candidates are Gary Palermo, Jody Daymon, Glen P. Papelo, and Michael Donadeo.
