Arrest Announced In Armed Robbery Of Orange Pharmacy: Police
A suspect forced a pharmacist at gunpoint to get narcotics from a safe, police said.
ORANGE, CT — Police said in an update Wednesday that Luis Sanabria, 51, of Derby, has been charged in connection with the Sunrise Pharmacy robbery on Feb 21.
He was charged by warrant with first-degree robbery and third-degree larceny. Sanabria was released after posting a court-set $50,000 bond and has a court date in Derby Thursday.

ORIGINAL STORY: ORANGE, CT — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Sunrise Pharmacy Feb. 21.
A man entered the Indian River Road pharmacy and approached a pharmacist with a black handgun. He demanded oxycodone from the safe. The pharmacist complied and was ordered into the back room along with another employee, police said.

The suspect then fled the store.
A similar armed robbery occurred at the same business on Dec. 5, police said. The suspect in that case is believed to be different, and police are still investigating.
