• Orange Man Accused Of Threatening Emergency Personnel: PD (patch.com) — Residents in Orange may be alarmed to learn that a 73-year-old local man was arrested after allegedly threatening an AMR ambulance crew parked outside his Indian Hill Road home. Police say he yelled at the workers, followed them by car, and threatened to kill them before being charged and released on bond, with a court date later this month.
   

• Stew Leonard Jr. Speaks Out On Future Plans; Milford Possible Home Of Next Store: Report (patch.com) — Plans for a new Stew Leonard’s store remain up in the air, with both Orange and Milford still high on the grocer’s list after a long, contentious approval battle over prior Orange sites. Big Y has already committed to the Colonial Commons space in Orange, while Stew Leonard’s weighs options including a former Stop & Shop in Milford and other nearby cities.
   

• CT agency finds ‘mistakes and poor performance' in utility's response to tragic fatal accident (courant.com) — State regulators faulted United Illuminating’s emergency response after a fatal 2025 electrocution, noting the responding crew left from UI’s Marsh Hill Road facility in Orange but was delayed by missing safety gear. PURA’s report says UI couldn’t have prevented the accident itself, yet found serious communication and response lapses and ordered the utility to document safety and training improvements by February 2026.
