Stratford Man Arrested in Orange For Car Accident While Under the Influence: Orange Police

Orange police said they picked up Russell Ruas, 28, at 94 Housatonic Ave. in Stratford on April 27, where he was being held in custody under an unrelated matter.

Officers served a warrant to Ruas regarding a motor vehicle accident from Jan. 11, police said.

Investigation into that incident led police to issue an arrest warrant for Ruas, police said. Ruas is charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Ruas was released after posting a $500 bond, and he was scheduled to appear in Superior Court, Derby on May 11.
