- The Department of Psychological Science at Eastern Connecticut State University held its annual Psi Chi honor society induction on April 26. Among those honored was senior Katelyn Petrie of Oxford, who was inducted into the Psi Chi honor society. Psi Chi, the international honor society for psychology, is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. Psi Chi functions as a federation of chapters located at more than 800 colleges and universities.

- Syed Messim of Oxford has been named to the winter 2024 Dean's List. The winter terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List.

- Gabriela DiMauro of Oxford, a member of the class of 2024 majoring in mechanical engineering, recently completed a senior thesis that is required of all graduating seniors as part of the university's distinctive project-based educational experience. The project, Optimizing Partial Emission Pump Performance, was Gabriela's Major Qualifying Project (MQP), one that is usually team-based and often focuses on very specific issues or needs of an organization that has partnered with the university to sponsor the student's work.
