1,000+ Trick-or-Treaters Converge on Lounsbury House for Ridgefield PD's Halloween Party
More than 1,000 trick-or-treaters turned out for the Ridgefield Police Department's annual free Halloween party at the Lounsbury House.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Captain Jeff Kreitz, Ridgefield Police Department officers and a small army of volunteers, fortune tellers and teens helped make more than 1,000 local residents happy with their free annual Halloween party at the Lounsbury House.
Captain Jeff Kreitz said that Stop & Shop donated hundreds of pounds of candy for the free event that he organized to give area families a safe Halloween alternative. "We're on a very tight budget so we are very appreciative for them donating the candy as well as the DJ providing the music," Kreitz told Patch.
Ridgefield Bach to Rock DJ-ed the event and said they handed out over 1,000 goody bags to grateful ghouls and goblins. Teens decorated the Lounsbury House which was lit up with orange lights, police handed out glow sticks, a fortune teller greeted guests and parents and decked out monsters.
