100 Best Public Elementary Schools In Connecticut: New Rankings Released For 2018

Despite an uncertain fiscal future for the State of Connecticut, one of its main selling points still remains. Connecticut has some great schools, particularly at the elementary level. Niche.com recently released its ranking of the top elementary schools in the Nutmeg State.

Similar to the ranking of the state's best high schools, Fairfield County controlled the top of the list. Twelve of the state's top 15 elementary schools are located in Fairfield County, according to Niche.com.

Niche, a website for researching schools, used a variety of factors, including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges students consider and reviews from students and parents for its ranking. Niche assigns a standardized score for each factor, which is then weighted before an overall score is calculated for each school district.
