What does this mean for the public? While the offices will be closed on Fridays, they will be open longer hours Monday through Thursday. This will provide more flexibility for those who are unable to get to the offices during the current hours which are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for Town Hall, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the Annex.

At any point during the trial, the BOS can vote to make the four-day work week permanent. The schedule change aims to increase employee retention and attract qualified applicants for vacancies. Stay tuned for more information as the details are finalized.
