Brookfield Firefighters Tackle Minivan Blaze [VIDEO]
The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company extinguished a fire in a minivan over the weekend.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Firefighters tackled a car fire in the early morning hours on Saturday.
Members of the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to 67 Federal Road for the blaze at 1:07 a.m. First responders found a minivan with a fire in the engine compartment.
The driver was able to escape the burning van on their own, and was not injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Brookfield Fire Marshal's Office. Brookfield's Department of Public Works assisted with ice control on the road after the fire.
