Line Dance for Beginners 
The ideal workout. Burn fat and calories while you are having fun! Do you know your right from your left, can you count to 8? Then you can line dance! We will start with the basics and build from there. If you have been to this course before, come on back, we have new dances lined up for this course. Please bring a water bottle and wear leather or suede soled shoes. Have your iPhone (any model including the iPhone X and higher) handy during our Zoom class and see how to use e-mail, calendar, maps, and other basic programs. Learn how to take photos and videos, listen to music and podcasts, and organize your apps. We’ll also look at Apple’s App Store where you can download a wide variety of apps, both free and paid. Instructor Lance Whitney is a technology journalist and the author of the book book “Teach Yourself Visually LinkedIn.”He’s also written a book on Windows 8. He currently writes for TechRepublic, ZDNet, PCMag, and other technology sites. Previously, he was a system administrator with Ciba Specialty Chemicals. On&nbsp;Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Ridgefield Historical Society will host Keith Marshall Jones III, author, historian, and the founding President of the Ridgefield Historical Society, who will give an illustrated presentation and sign&nbsp;his new book,&nbsp;“God Save the King! Loyalism in Ridgefield, Connecticut During the American Revolution 1765-1786”, at St. Stephen’s Church North Hall, 353 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT. Our friends at <a href="https://booksonthecommon.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Books on the Common</a> will have books for sale at the presentation. And, what fate befell them after Ridgefield became the last of Connecticut’s seventy-two chartered towns to join the Patriot cause? Learn how entwined loyalties to the Church, the land, community, Connecticut Colony, and the British Crown turned neighbor against neighbor in Ridgefield’s darkest chapter of the Revolutionary era.

Keith lives in New York City and Connecticut.

God Save the King! Loyalism in Ridgefield, Connecticut During the American Revolution

Join us for a free acting workshop on 1/10/2026, from 10AM-5PM&nbsp;at St.&nbsp;Stephen's Episcopal!&nbsp;
In this acting workshop with a focus on monologues, participants are offered an immersive introduction to the principles of acting and an opportunity to join an educational discussion on influential speeches, letters, or archived materials. Participants will learn to craft original monologues rooted in personal stories around a guiding question. Then they will pass their unique experiences along to their classmates and be assigned a monologue to perform. Embodying experiences different from our own is highly encouraged in this workshop and participants will emerge with an empathetic understanding of experiences outside their own and a deeper sense of how to approach monologue work.&nbsp;
