Local Ridgefield Students Launch Baseball Equipment Drive to Support Under-Resourced Kids

My name is Vihaan Patel, and I’m a sophomore at Ridgefield High School. I’ve been playing baseball since tee-ball, and the sport has been a huge part of my life ever since. Coaches who have worked with me can vouch that I’ve always been a baseball-crazed kid who truly loves the game.
My sister and I from Ridgefield, CT, have started a community initiative called “Pitch In for Baseball & Softball” to help under-resourced kids gain access to baseball and softball equipment.
In addition to collecting new and gently used gear, I’ve set a personal goal to raise $10,000 by the end of my senior year to purchase equipment and support young athletes who can’t afford it. I know that goal may sound super ambitious, but I’m determined to reach it — one donation and one piece of equipment at a time.
I’m reaching out to ask for your support through a cash donation — no amount is too small, and every contribution is deeply appreciated. All donations go directly to Pitch In for Baseball & Softball, a nonprofit organization that provides equipment to communities in need.
If you wish to donate any baseball or softball equipment, please send us a message — we’re happy to arrange a pickup or drop-off.

Vihaan & Yashvi Patel
