Details on Rte. 7 Road Closures This Weekend: Ridgefield Police

This Friday (6-9-17) starting at 8:00 P.M. Rt.7 will be closed to thru traffic from the intersection of Rt. 7/Rt. 35 and Rt. 7/Rt.102. This closure will continue until Monday morning (6-12-17) at 6:00 A.M. The closure is due to a bridge replacement being performed by the Connecticut Department of Transportation on Rt. 7 just north of Rt. 102. This is the first of five scheduled weekend closures that will take place over the next several months. The next closure will take place towards the end of the month.

The detour routes are as follows:

• Northbound Rt. 7 thru traffic will be detoured up Rt. 102 to Rt. 35 to Rt. 7 at its intersection with Rt. 35.
• Southbound Rt. 7 thru traffic will be detoured up Rt. 35 to Rt. 102 to Rt. 7.

It should be noted that local traffic and those wishing to access businesses on Rt. 7 will still be allowed access except to the area where the bridge construction is taking place. The detour route is shown in green and the road closure is depicted in orange on the attached map. We request that thru traffic follow the posted detour and extra duty officers will be posted on Rt. 7.
