“Meals on Wheels has contributed tremendously to the most vulnerable members of our community over the last 50 years,” said Dan Berta. “We are proud to celebrate this milestone alongside them and look forward to continuing to support their cause well into the future.”

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield is celebrating its 50th anniversary of providing nourishment to those who can’t prepare meals on their own, whether due to age, disability or recovery from an illness or surgery. Each year, over 175 volunteers prepare and deliver more than 50,000 meals to residents of Ridgefield. With no federal or state funding, Meals on Wheels relies on the generous donations of community members. Dean Miller said of the partnership, “Fairfield County Bank is a generous donor to Meals on Wheels and many other local nonprofits in our community. We appreciate their many years of support for our program as well as the banking, investment, and insurance services they provide to us.”
