Eric Seel of Simpaug Farms has opened the farm's stand on Catoonah Street, and Eric Mucci stopped by Friday for the goods.
"Every Friday I pick up whatever he has," Mucci says. "The first month is a lot of lettuces. After that you get the peppers, zucchini, eggplant."
Mucci joins the program called Community Supported Agriculture by paying $500 up front. Then he gets two or more bags of vegetables a week all summer.
This week he got pints of orange tomatoes, strawberries, peas, and then bunches of kale, Swiss chard, romaine lettuce, Boston lettuce, and beets.
"When the onions come out, it's great," Mucci says.
