For Mature Audiences, Chairman Frank Sinatra, Mary Chapin Carpenter

Music from Duncan Sheik, featuring hits from Spring Awakening, will be performed at the Ridgefield Theater Barn at 8 p.m. Friday. This musical adventure comes with a word of warning. "Please note, the music of Spring Awakening is intended for mature audiences and contains strong sexual content, course language and adult themes.  Parental discretion is advised." This event takes place for two nights only, Friday and Saturday, both evenings at 8 p.m. at the Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane.

The Ridgefield Playhouse presents, "Echoes of Sinatra Starring Steve Kazlauskas," at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the playhouse. Steve works as a solo performer, and also with big bands throughout the USA. He has performed his show "Echoes of Sinatra" at Mohegan Sun, The Count Basie Theater and various other venues from Vancouver to Los Angeles, and from West Palm Beach to New York. The show features renditions of Frank's classic hits, and a journey into how Sinatra made this his world. 

The Ridgefield Playhouse presents Mary Chapin Carpenter and Marc Cohn at 8 p.m. Sunday. Mary Chapin Carpenter and Marc Cohn will share the stage for a series of special shows this summer. Mary Chapin Carpenter is known for her blend of pop, folk and country style music. With hits like “Passionate Kisses” and “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her,” she has won five Grammy Awards (with 15 nominations), two CMA awards and two Academy of Country Music awards. Marc Cohn is best know for his Grammy-award winning ballad “Walking in Memphis,” and is one of his generation’s most compelling singer/songwriters.
