- Congratulations to Renee Brown -Cheng on her appointment to the Arts Council, and to Jim Liptack, James Coyle, Jack Kace, Roberta Barbieri, Allan Welby, Erik Keller, and Peter Nichols on their reappointments to the Conservation Commission.
- In December 2023, a Flag Policy was established, stating that only the American Flag, State of Connecticut Flag, POW/MIA Flag, and GRADD (Government of Ridgefield Against Drunk Driving) Flag may be flown on the flag pole in front of Town Hall. A petition proposing a Flag Ordinance to fly the PRIDE flag during the month of June was resubmitted to the Town Clerk’s office in December. It could not be verified whether all of the signatures were obtained within the six month window required by CT General Statute Chapter 90 Sec 7-9, which could present legal issues if the petition were accepted. The BOS agreed to uphold the Flag Policy and not accept the petition.
- The BOS voted to apply for the Neglected Cemetery Account Grant Program, which was created by the Sate for the purpose of providing municipalities with funding for the maintenance of neglected burial grounds and cemeteries.
- The BOS approved the Tax Collector refunds in the amount of $10,909.92.
