Hoping For A Day's Labor At 90 Degrees

Joe Llspy, one of the Danbury Eleven, was looking for a day's work in Kennedy Park Friday morning.

The 'eleven' were day laborers rounded up and arrested by Danbury police in what became a legal battle between the city and Yale law students. The workers won a payout from Danbury's insurance company.

Llspy, who has lived in the United States for ten years, said he works for anywhere between $10 and $20 an hour. Demolition work pays the most, because of the difficulty of using a jackhammer.

Llspy said he stays in Danbury, despite the 'arrest' because of the work.
