Ridgefield Academy Students Shine in the Noetic Learning Math Contest

Ridgefield Academy celebrates its students' outstanding performance and national honors in the fall 2025 Noetic Learning Math Contest.

This fall, Ridgefield Academy students took on an exciting academic challenge, earning impressive recognition in the Noetic Learning Math Contest, a national competition that sparks curiosity, strengthens problem-solving skills, and inspires excellence in mathematics and STEM.

Thirty-eight students from Grades 4–6, guided by faculty members Nancy Freyre (Grade 4), Jan Dunn (Grade 5), and Beth Smith (Grade 6), participated in the fall 2025 competition. Their results place them among the top young mathematicians in the country and reflect the strength of Ridgefield Academy’s Middle School math program, which emphasizes deep thinking, perseverance, and joyful engagement with complex ideas.

The fall 2025 competition drew 33,223 students from 619 schools nationwide. Through challenging, non-routine problems, participants were asked to think critically, collaborate effectively, and apply their mathematical understanding in creative ways—skills central to the Ridgefield Academy learning experience.
