Letter: 'Aimee Berger-Girvalo IS Ridgefield's Education Advocate'

"State Representative Aimee Berger-Girvalo leads in education and schools…"

To the editor:

State Representative Aimee Berger-Girvalo leads in education and schools. She’s the real educational leader on the ballot. She delivered over $400,000 in state money to Ridgefield Elementary Schools for new, ADA compliant playgrounds—funds which do not come out of our local school budget, don’t raise taxes and which do not require repayment by Ridgefield. She voted for grants to school systems to upgrade their HVAC systems, which we can take advantage of in Ridgefield. This is vitally important. A healthy school environment is imperative to intellectual and social development. Aimee voted for increased funding for mental health services for children, school staff and parents, and she voted to increase funding for school-based health services.

Aimee Berger-Girvalo ensures we have resources, proactive services and support for schools and teachers. She is endorsed by CEA, the Connecticut Educational Association, which represents working teachers, a huge testimony to the strength of her commitment to schools. Aimee knows that serving in the CT House of Representatives means representing Ridgefield as well as schools, teachers, parents and kids across the State.
