Man Discharges Gun, Bullet Goes Into Neighbor's Apartment

The Ridgefield man is being held on a $10,000 bail.

Police arrested a Ridgefield man this past Friday for accidentally discharging his firearm in his residence, sending the bullet through his wall and into his neighbor’s apartment, according to police reports from the Ridgefield Police Department.

Police said that they responded to a call of a “hole in the wall and closet” and subsequently inspected the area.

The accused, John Henry Lowenstine, of Olcott Way, 43, had his weapons seized and after the arrest was held on a $10,000 dollar bond. He is charged with unlawful discharge and reckless endangerment, according to police reports.
