NEWTOWN, CT — First Selectman Jeff Capeci is seeking residents to fill vacancies on several local bodies, including a newly formed panel on flood recovery and water supply restoration.
There are three openings on the Ad Hoc Committee on Flood Recovery and Water Supply Restoration: one seat for a resident from the affected South Main/Homestead Lane area, and two seats for residents with expertise in project management, utility operations, engineering, grant writing, railroad operations, water resources engineering or legal matters.
An alternate vacancy is open on the Board of Ethics for a Republican or unaffiliated voter.

Three seats are available on the Economic Development Commission. Two seats become vacant Dec. 1 and are open to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter and an Independent or unaffiliated voter. A third seat, open to any registered voter, will be available Jan. 6, 2026.
