Obituary: Mary Arena, 99, of Ridgefield

Mary Arena, 99, of Ridgefield, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 7, 2017. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Arena.

Mrs. Arena was born in New York City on September 12, 1917; a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Timko) Bohay.

A resident of Ridgefield for the past 20 years, Mrs. Arena previously lived in Pelham, NY and Florida. Mrs. Arena, and her husband, Frank were married for 57 years at the time he passed in 1993. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Arena is survived by her children, Stephen and Marianne, 2 grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband, Thomas and Brandon his partner, Mikala as well as 3 great grandchildren, Madeline, Thomas and Tobin.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Joanne and a daughter in law, Rosalie.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM. Interment will take place on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.
