Why are you seeking this office? Working to maintain the high standards of the Ridgefield Police Department and maintain our recognition as safest town in Connecticut
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it: Regarding public safety, it is the poor outdated facilities at both the police and fire departments. Advocating an updated headquarters acceptable to the community looking into the future is a top priority
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? Incumbent, former Chairman of the Police Commission. 22 year state representative, having first hand knowledge of state government and the people within it (particularly important with DOT) has been an asset
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign? Maintaining a fully staffed and trained department focused on strong community engagement
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? Previous member and Chairman of Police Commission. Problem solver and consensus builder
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? Treat everyone with the utmost respect. Your word is everything.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions? 60 year resident, have personally known every police chief in our history. Worked closely with four chiefs while in legislature on road issues, traffic signals, strengthening DUI laws. Always accessible
