Close to 1,000 attendees came to Summerfest for live music, delicious food, shopping, a kid's zone and tons of fun despite the hot temps.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce hosted a successful, sizzling Summerfest this past Sunday. Despite oppressive temperatures, close to 1,000 people strolled along Bailey Avenue, Main Street, Prospect Street and all over downtown Ridgefield for live music, delicious food, fun activities and more. Pikachu even made a stop downtown!

More than 70 vendors showcased their wares under back-to-back tents set up on Main Street. New this year to Summerfest was the Farmers Market with The Hickories, Hayfields, Simpaug Farms and Veronica's Garden.

A Kid's Zone was set up on Bailey Avenue and the Town Hall parking lot with a race track, bouncy house, face painting and more. DJ Sean "Big Daddy" McKee kept the party going and live music was provided by student bands from Ridgefield Bach to Rock, opening this September, and Ridgefield School of Rock, opening this August.
