The 16th Annual Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department Carnival starts Wednesday night at East Ridge Middle School and runs every night to 10 p.m. through Saturday.
Admission is free and a $20 bracelet buys unlimited rides.
"This is a major fundraiser for our volunteer staff," Fire Chief Tim Pambianchi said.
The money raised will go toward training and equipment for the department's 60 members.
Pambianchi also noted that the department website, RidgefieldVFD.com, will be updated hourly with notifications of rain delays or other important information. He asked that residents not call dispatch in order to keep the lines open for emergencies.
The carnival is open every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., June 26-29.
