Ridgefield Fire Union Endorses Bob Hebert For State Representative

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Bob Hebert, Republican Endorsed Candidate for the 111th General Assembly District (Ridgefield), has secured the endorsement of the Ridgefield Professional Firefighters Local 1739, part of the International Association of Firefighters.

The Ridgefield Professional Firefighters organization has a long history, having served the town of Ridgefield for over 50 years. IAFF Local 1739 represents the 35 professional firefighters that operate out of two stations responding to the fire, rescue, and emergency medical calls of the town to protect Ridgefield’s citizens and guests. The union also represents the town's Fire Marshal and Deputy Fire Marshals.

In a letter to Bob Hebert, Michael Trenck, President of the Ridgefield Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1739, wrote” We are proud to endorse you and we offer our support to your campaign for State Representative. Your service to the Town of Ridgefield as a Selectman as well as a Ridgefield Fire Commissioner demonstrates your commitment to both our town and the men and women tasked with providing fire protection to our town. We honor and appreciate the work you do to support the Town of Ridgefield and wish you great success during this election!”

In response to this endorsement Hebert stated “I am honored to receive the endorsement and I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of the brave men and women of Ridgefield’s fire department and for the dedicated work they do on behalf of our community every single day. My mission in Hartford will always be to advocate for the safety and security of our fire, police, and emergency services first responders, making sure they have the funding and equipment they need to perform their jobs, saving lives.”
