Ridgefield First Selectman Issues Urgent Weather Statement
Thousands of residents are without power in Ridgefield after a Noreaster storm Sunday and Monday

From the Town of Ridgefield
This is First Selectman Rudy Marconi. With strong winds due to follow a soaking rain, we can expect scattered electrical outages in town late today and early tomorrow. Please stay safe. Understand that all downed power cables may be live, even if your household power is out. Should you lose power, be sure to call in the disruption to Eversource at 800-286-2000. Please keep travel to a minimum to give the Highway department and Eversource to clean up. If your neighborhood loses power, please check on your neighbors who live alone or may need help. Use battery powered lights — never candles. If you have a generator, be sure to follow the manufacture's instructions. Generators should be run outside and away from windows and fan intakes.
We’re all hoping the impact of this Nor’easter will be minor. Know that your public safety organizations — fire, police, highway and emergency management — are on alert and will be working for a quick recovery.
