Ridgefield High School Skiers Earn Spots At Eastern Championships
The Ridgefield High School Ski Team has finished an impressive season with a trio of tigers looking ahead to the Eastern Regionals.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield High School Ski Team has finished an impressive season with a trio of tigers looking ahead to the Eastern Regional High School Championships.
Both the girls and boys teams earned a spot to compete at the State Open at Mount Southington.
The girls ski team finished second at the State Open. Julia Bragg, Jillian Pastore, and Hadley Drever all finished top 10 in the state, while Hayden Drever, Alexandra Schuster, and Emily Fox rounded out the top 6 scorers to secure a 2nd place finish.

"At our final race of the year, the Ridgefield girls secured 2nd place in the state for the regular season, with senior captain Jillian Pastore beating out 181 other athletes to win the last race of the season and close out her impressive high school career," coach Adam Rapczynski said.
The top skiers in the state competed on two days and in two disciplines (giant slalom and slalom) in hopes to earn a spot on Team Connecticut, formed from the best 12 racers in Connecticut. Three tigers, Julia Bragg, Jillian Pastore, and Hayden Drever finished among the top racers in the state and qualified to represent Connecticut at the Eastern Regional High School Championships in New Hampshire in March.
