Ridgefield Library & Ridgefield Brown Bag Network Present "Flying Solo"

Flying Solo: An Educational Seminar for Single, Divorcing or Widowed Women will be presented September 22 at the library.

A panel of professional women will address legal, financial, social, and family issues in Flying Solo, a free seminar for single, divorcing or widowed women September 22 from 6-8 p.m.

Being on one's own, whether by choice or by circumstance, can be extremely challenging, said Barbara McMahon, a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch. "Our panel of specialists will cover key issues to help women navigate the emotional, legal and financial aspects of being single." The program is aimed at women but men are also welcome to attend.

Six professional women will share anecdotes and advice, as well as present their Top Ten Tips. Topics will range from financial and tax implications to feeling and looking good. Scheduled to speak are: Patti Ballard, a realtor with Neumann Real Estate; Pamela Banks, a solo practitioner business attorney; Pam Friedlander, a wardrobe and image consultant; Kristina Kelly, an attorney practicing in the fields of trust and estate planning, elder law and residential real estate; Candy Schrull, an accountant and client services specialist; and Vicki Volper, a divorce attorney and mediation specialist.
