Ridgefield Man Enters Plea In Hulda Lane Shooting: Report
Mauro Tropeano is accused of shooting a fifteen-year-old girl in the back when a group of teens tried to steal a car from his home.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A man accused of firing a gun at a group of teenagers trying to steal a car from his driveway on Hulda Lane pled not guilty to multiple charges in Danbury Superior Court Tuesday, reports the News Times. Mauro Tropeano, 33, was arrested on Aug. 22 on charges of assault in the second degree with a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, interfering with an officer, and the sale of illegal drugs.
The publication reports Tropeano's attorney Eugene Riccio stated surveillance videos from the scene do not account for Tropeano's life being in danger.

The owner of Stanziato's Wood Fire Pizza in Danbury is accused of firing his gun at a group of teenagers from Waterbury, striking a 15-year-old girl in the back. When police returned to Tropeano's home to investigate, they found a large amount of steroids and steroid-related items, multiple firearms and more than $28,000 in cash.
