Ridgefield Police Are Investigating Multiple Thefts from Cars

Windows of vehicles parked at the Dog Park/Scalzo Field and Parks & Rec have been smashed and various items reported stolen.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Captain Jeff Kreitz of the Ridgefield Police Department said that the Ridgefield Police Department is currently investigating multiple larcenies from motor vehicles that have occurred between July 17, 2016 and 07 21, 2016.

There have been a total of three different vehicles entered during the 5-day time period that have been reported to the police and on all occasions a window on the vehicle has been smashed and various items reported stolen.

The incidents occurred at the following locations on the following dates/times:

1. On 07-17-2016 between 5:30 pm and 6:05 pm in the Parks and Recreation parking lot located at 195 Danbury Road.

2. On 07-21-2016 between 6:45 pm and 7:20 pm in the Parks and Recreation parking lot located at 195 Danbury Road.

3. On 07-21-2016 between 6:30 pm and 7:20 pm in the Dog Park/Scalzo Field parking area located off of Prospect Ridge Road.

"We would like to remind everyone to always lock and remove all valuables from their vehicles," Captain Kreitz said.
